This season, Season 8 I’m going to be talking with Latina’s who have pursued higher education, and have landed corporate positions. This is a goal that many first and second gen Latinas have grown up aspiring to.
While there is a growing representation of Latines in corporate jobs, the system is still hard to navigate and doesn’t always treat us well as far as pay equity, and a safe environment to show up authentically. I know there are many of us that are doing all we can to make a difference and help others along the way, but the burden can be a lot.
I’m hoping that with this season we can learn how to support each other, encourage the next generation, and do our best to bring awareness to inequities in a corporate/capitalist world, so the next generation can have a better opportunity to thrive.
